Stewart joined NEA in June 1996 as a venture partner focusing in the information technology area. He was named a general partner in 1998. He is currently on the boards of Boingo Wireless, Inc., Full Audio, Inc., Garageband, Inc., Hiwire, Inc., MailFrontier, Inc., NextHop Technologies, Inc., Sorrent, Inc., TiVo Inc., Visto Corporation, and Zinio Systems, Inc. Stewart is also a columnist for Fortune magazine. Prior to NEA, Stewart served as Executive Vice President of InfoWorld Publishing Company, Inc. which publishes InfoWorld, a weekly newspaper for information-technology professionals. Stewart also founded Industry Publishing Company, the publisher of a fortnightly newsletter for computer industry insiders and producer of the Agenda and Demo conferences for executives of companies in the computer industry. Before 1985, Stewart served in several executive editorial positions at business and trade magazines, including Inc. Stewart received a Bachelor of Arts in English from Occidental College.

Todd Bauman practices in Stoel Rives’ Business Department with emphasis primarily in corporate securities and general corporate law. He has broad experience representing emerging growth and technology companies in private and public financings, SEC reporting and compliance, and acquisitions and divestitures. Todd is the Vice Chair of the Emerging Business Committee of the Oregon Chapter of the American Electronics Association and is the Chair of Stoel Rives’ emerging companies practice group. He was formerly on the Board of Directors of the Oregon Entrepreneurs Forum, Chair of the Legal Issues SIG of the Software Association of Oregon and the Treasurer of the Business Law section of the Oregon State Bar. He was associated with Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison, San Francisco, California from 1984-87. Todd received his J.D. from the University of Chicago in 1984 and his A.B., with distinction, from Stanford University, in 1978.

Kevin Cable has more than fourteen years of experience as an executive in start-up companies ranging in focus from computer hardware, scientific visualization applications, and consumer packaged software products. Prior to co-founding Cascadia Capital, Mr. Cable worked as a principal in Jumpstart Group, a consulting firm he established to provide M&A services, technology licensing, and strategic development services to software companies. Before establishing Jumpstart Group, Mr. Cable was President & CEO of Numera Software, a Seattle based start-up, which he co-founded. Previously, he held various sales and marketing roles in Silicon Valley. Mr. Cable has deep connections with regional investors, entrepreneurs, venture capital firms, and professional contacts.
Mr. Cable received his BS in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Washington.

Bill Diehl's business and financial acumen have been well proven in the crucible of several successful startups, including Hello Direct, a venture backed developer and direct marketer of telephony and equipment interface solutions. Bill is currently controller and CFO of Rapid5 Networks, Inc., a next generation telephony gateway start-up company. He also served as vice president of finance and administration for Telekom Advanced Systems Corporation, and as president of Facit, Inc. Bill is a California CPA, holds a BS degree in accounting from the University of Southern California and an MBA from Santa Clara University.

Greg Drew, president, CEO and founder of 800.com, has 26 years’ experience with fast-growth technology companies. Under Drew’s leadership, 800.com has become a “Best of the Web” specialty retailer of consumer electronics, movies and music, with 140 employees and an offering of 300,000 products in 100 categories. Prior to founding 800.com in November of 1997 (site live October 1998), Drew held executive positions at NOW Software, Central Point Software, Tut Systems, Clientele Software and Hewlett-Packard. Drew is a graduate of Fairleigh Dickenson University, with a Bachelor of Science degree in business management.

He founded KPMG's Oregon Technology practice in 1980 and grew it to a clear leadership position in the Oregon market. Jim Huston is Managing Director of Portfolio Relations & Development for Intel Capital. Jim is responsible for Operations, Marketing, and Value Add programs for Intel Capital. Jim’s responsibility spans Intel Corporation’s portfolio of more than 500 companies in which Intel has a minority equity holding. Jim joined Intel in 1984, and has extensive business management experience in software and microcomputer systems. Prior to his current position, Jim was a Director of Strategic Investments for Intel Capital. Jim led Intel investments in more than 15 companies, and led numerous Intel acquisitions. Jim and his investment team assembled a portfolio of more than 50 companies including Speechworks, Nuance, and Red Hat. Prior to joining Intel Capital in 1995, he held marketing and general management positions in Intel’s OEM PC Division, Network Products Division, and Development Systems Operation. Jim received an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School, and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Rose Hulman Institute of Technology. Erik Krieger, Chairman & Managing Director, has been with Pacific Crest Securities since 1990, when he was instrumental in founding and re-capitalizing the firm. Since his arrival, Mr. Krieger has been involved in almost every facet of investment banking, from starting Pacific Crest’s Institutional Equity Capital Markets Group to establishing its entry into money management business to actively conducting equity and debt financing activities for corporate clients. Mr. Krieger’s collective experiences provide current clients with a wealth of insight to how the investment banking process works. Currently, Mr. Krieger focuses the majority of his energy driving Pacific Crest’s Technology Banking Group, pursuing interests in communication technologies and leading the Firm’s commitment to the new “net-centric” world. While at Pacific Crest Mr. Krieger has held the positions of CEO and President as well as Managing Director and Head of Capital Markets. After graduating magna cum laude from the University of Oregon, Mr. Krieger entered the investment banking business in 1982 with Security Pacific Bank and later joined Continental Capital Markets Group in Chicago. In 1986, after receiving his M.B.A., with honors, from Northwestern University, he joined PaineWebber, Inc. in New York. While there, he was primarily involved in public company equity financing activities. In 1988, Mr. Krieger joined PaineWebber’s Merger & Acquisition Group working out of Chicago. Mr. Krieger has been actively involved in multiple transactions covering a full range of investment banking services including: domestic and cross boarder mergers & acquisitions (buy side and sell side mandates), divestitures, initial public offerings, follow-on offerings, private placements, joint ventures, management buyouts, leverage buyouts, technology transfers. Mr. Krieger has been an active investor since 1989 and since then has invested in over 25 local and national companies. Mr. Krieger sits on Pacific Crest’s Board of Directors and is a member of Pacific Crest’s Execution and Commitment Committees. Dan Rosen, co-managing partner, was most recently the General Manager of New Technology at Microsoft Research. Prior to that, Dan served as General Manager of the MSN Network. While at Microsoft, Dan developed and managed a portfolio of investments made by Microsoft. One of these Microsoft investments under Dan’s direction was a highly successful investment in UUNET, the world’s leading Internet company (now a division of WorldCom). Earlier in his career, Dan was the VP and general manager of AT&T’s first consumer Internet offering, AT&T PersonaLink Services and a pioneer in AT&T’s wireless data offerings. In addition to his work with AT&T and Microsoft’s corporate investments, Mr. Rosen has been an active private investor and is Chairman of the Seattle Alliance of Angels, one of the nation’s largest angel organizations.

Charles Schoenhoeft, CEO of UFO Communications, a company he founded in January 2000 to create an industry leading provider of next-generation, OC-192 Metro Optical Networks. Charles previously founded Transphere International in 1984 and grew the company to $25 million in sales providing product marketing, marketing communications and brand development services for fast growth, international high technology and consumer products companies. In 1994, he formed Transphere Interactive, providing strategic Web software development, web design, interactive software tools and consulting to international corporations including British Telecom, Nomura Securities, Cybercash and The Yankee Group. In 1996, the Transphere companies were sold to MTC Communications, forming a $100 million integrated communications company, providing telecommunications, Internet infrastructure and software services to medium to large-sized businesses.

Prior to Ignition, John spent over 8 years at Microsoft in various senior marketing and strategy positions. As GM of Global Campaigns he was responsible for Microsoft's overall business-to-business communications across all business targets, products and offerings. In previous positions he was responsible for the development of the Microsoft Office brand and marketing the desktop and server applications product lines. He contributed to the original competitive wins of Word and Excel and the re-positioning of desktop applications into Office. This included the launches of every version of Office and all of its component applications and its growth from a $50 MM to a nearly $10 billion business and from 20% to 85% market share. John's other contributions and responsibilities at Microsoft included the company's most successful online marketing campaigns; its first use of internet banners and email; the establishment of a database marketing practice; and an ongoing marketing and business strategy training curriculum.
Before Microsoft, John was a marketing manager at American Express in International Business Development, Customer Acquisition and Retention. John was also an associate at International Data Corporation where he wrote the first industry whitepaper on the Desktop Publishing Industry.
John holds a Masters in International Economics and Monetary Theory from the Fletcher School (Harvard/Tufts), BA (magna cum laude) from Marquette University and a Fulbright Scholarship at Universität zu Köln.
