GARY ALLEN

Gary Allen, President and CEO of Sabrix, Inc., is a seasoned executive with a strong background in operational effectiveness and information services. He managed a centralized applications center for a Fortune 500 company and led a $55 million project to replace over 1100 systems in 23 countries. Gary has over twenty-two years in IT management in the high-tech, health care, and transportation industries. Gary is a recognized industry leader, instructor and speaker.


                                              


ALLEN ALLEY

Allen Alley co-founded Pixelworks and has served as President, CEO and Chairman of the Board since its inception. From 1992 to 1996, Mr. Alley served as the Vice President, Corporate Development, Engineering and Product Marketing for InFocus Systems, a leading electronic display company. While at InFocus, Mr. Alley also was the co-CEO of a joint venture with Motorola, Inc. called Motif. From 1986 to 1992, Mr. Alley was a General Partner of Battery Ventures, a venture capital investment firm. From 1983 to 1986, Mr. Alley was the Director of Mechanical Computer Aided Engineering of Computervision Corporation, a computer-aided design software developer. From 1979 to 1983, Mr. Alley was a Lead Mechanical Engineer at Boeing Commercial Airplane Division. From 1976 to 1979, Mr. Alley served as a Product Design Engineer for the Ford Motor Company. Mr. Alley holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University.


TODD A. BAUMAN

Todd Bauman practices in Stoel Rives’ Business Department with emphasis primarily in corporate securities and general corporate law. He has broad experience representing emerging growth and technology companies in private and public financings, SEC reporting and compliance, and acquisitions and divestitures. Todd is the Vice Chair of the Emerging Business Committee of the Oregon Chapter of the American Electronics Association and is the Chair of Stoel Rives’ emerging companies practice group. He was formerly on the Board of Directors of the Oregon Entrepreneurs Forum, Chair of the Legal Issues SIG of the Software Association of Oregon and the Treasurer of the Business Law section of the Oregon State Bar. He was associated with Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison, San Francisco, California from 1984-87. Todd received his J.D. from the University of Chicago in 1984 and his A.B., with distinction, from Stanford University, in 1978.

ERNEST G. BOOTSMA

Mr. Bootsma, is a partner with White & Lee LLP. He has over eleven years of experience in the representation of emerging growth, as well as mature private and public companies. Mr. Bootsma’s practice encompasses the formation, financing, corporate governance, mergers and acquisition, intellectual property, and transactional fields. He has negotiated and closed complex merger and acquisition transactions, planned and counseled clients with regard to intellectual property protection and maintenance, structured and implemented licensing, distribution and strategic partnership arrangements, and handled debt and equity financing transactions for clients in a wide variety of industries. Prior to joining White & Lee in 2000, Mr. Bootsma spent eight years, most recently as a partner, with Dunn Carney Allen Higgins & Tongue LLP in the corporate, real estate and intellectual property sections of the firm. Prior to joining Dunn Carney, Mr. Bootsma spent two years with Miller Nash LLP as an associate in the corporate and banking sections of the firm representing publicly traded corporations and banks in mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Bootsma received his J.D. from Willamette University College of Law and his B.S. from Oregon State University.

FRANK X. CURCI

Frank X. Curci, Esq. is a Partner in the Technology and Intellectual Property Practice Group of Preston Gates & Ellis LLP, a West Coast-based law firm, and heads that practice group in the firm’s Portland office. Mr. Curci’s practice focuses on domestic and international intellectual property, technology, and e-commerce/Internet matters. He advises clients in various industries, including software and other technology companies. He represents a leading software company in its participation in domestic and international technology “standards” consortia. He also represents West Coast state agencies and departments in technology and intellectual property matters. Since January 1996 he has been an Adjunct Professor of Law at McGeorge School of Law at the University of the Pacific in Sacramento, California, where he teaches “International Intellectual Property Law.” Mr. Curci was a visiting attorney at a Tokyo, Japan law firm in the early 1990s and his practice has had an international focus since that time. He lectures and writes on intellectual property and Internet law matters. Mr. Curci is admitted in New York and Oregon.


GREG DREW

Greg Drew, president, CEO and founder of 800.com, has 26 years’ experience with fast-growth technology companies. Under Drew’s leadership, 800.com has become a “Best of the Web” specialty retailer of consumer electronics, movies and music, with 140 employees and an offering of 300,000 products in 100 categories. Prior to founding 800.com in November of 1997 (site live October 1998), Drew held executive positions at NOW Software, Central Point Software, Tut Systems, Clientele Software and Hewlett-Packard. Drew is a graduate of Fairleigh Dickenson University, with a Bachelor of Science degree in business management.

DAVID EVANS

David G. Evans is a partner in Arthur Andersen's Pacific Northwest tax and business advisory practice. He is a member of the firm's international tax services team, as well as the leader of the Pacific Northwest expatriate and inpatriate tax practices. Mr. Evans has been with Arthur Andersen's Portland office for 18 years. During that time, he spent two tax seasons in the firm's Tokyo office, where he provided compliance and consulting services to U.S. companies and individuals. Mr. Evans currently serves a variety of clients focused on doing business on a multinational basis ranging from those that are solely exporting to those with foreign subsidiaries and branches throughout the world. He has significant experience in assisting companies that do business in a wide variety of industries including manufacturing, wholesale distribution, high tech, forest products, engineering, construction, fishing and others. Mr. Evans, a CPA, graduated from the University of Oregon in 1982 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He is a former President of the Pacific Northwest International Trade Association. He is also involved in the Oregon CPA Society, Japan-America Society of Oregon, World Affairs Council and City Club of Portland. He has published numerous articles on various tax topics.

CHARLES HART

Charles Hart is the chairman and Chief Executive Officer of SurfMonkey Inc. They develop and market browsers, filters, software systems and content in six languages for the family Internet technology market worldwide. Prior to this position, he was the president, CEO and a member of the Board of Directors of Micronics Computers, Inc., a $100M publicly traded company, which developed, designed, marketed and manufactured OEM computer systems, high-performance system boards and multimedia technology. Charles is also a member of the Board of Directors of CES Communications Limited [New Zealand]. Before Micronics, he was a founding member of the Board of Directors and active in the launch of InsWeb Corporation, which went public in 1999. This Internet technology company launched the first-ever vertically integrated marketplace for the insurance industry on the World Wide Web. Prior to the founding of InsWeb, he spent three years in the global networking security industry with Semaphore Communications Corporation as president and CEO. Previously he was president and CEO of Phaser Systems, Inc., a developer of connectivity software linking local area networks to IBM mainframes. Hart has also held CEO positions with other innovative hardware and software companies, including LAN pioneer Nestar Systems, Inc. and Etak, Inc., the leader in geographic information systems. He began his career in the computer industry with Control Data Corporation where he spent 13 years in management. Several years ago, Hart was named to the Micro Times 50, a roster of the fifty most influential people in the computer industry. In addition, he has been targeted as one of the key executives in the Internet arena. His community involvement includes; past chairman of the Board of Directors for the San Jose Symphony and past president, Director Emeritus of the Association for Corporate Growth of Silicon Valley, and Commodore of the St. Francis Yacht Club in San Francisco. While in the United States Air Force, he was promoted to squadron commander with the Strategic Air Command. Hart earned his bachelor's degree at the University of Maryland and completed Stanford University's AEA Executive Institute in the Graduate School of Industrial Engineering.

      


KENNETH HERTZ

Kenneth Hertz is a Senior Partner in the Beverly Hills law firm of Goldring Hertz Lichtenstein and Haft LLP. Although Ken (often through his consulting venture Entermission, LLC) consults a number of firms engaged in businesses operating in the digital content and technology space (including Tiger Electronics, Brilliant Digital, Alliance, Big Champagne, IE Marketing and Sentica), Ken and his partners specialize in representing talent in the music industry. The firms’ clients include such artists as Will Smith, Destiny’s Child, Herbie Hancock, Boyz II Men, Christina Aguilera, No Doubt and Alanis Morisette. Prior to joining the firm, Ken was in charge of music -- business and legal affairs -- for The Walt Disney Company. Ken is a frequent speaker on the subject of music and technology, and along with his partner, Fred Goldring, recently taught a course on Management Issues in the Music Industry at UCLA’s Anderson Graduate School of Management.

JIM HUSTON

Jim Huston is Managing Director of Portfolio Relations & Development for Intel Capital. Jim is responsible for Operations, Marketing, and Value Add programs for Intel Capital. Jim’s responsibility spans Intel Corporation’s portfolio of more than 500 companies in which Intel has a minority equity holding. Jim joined Intel in 1984, and has extensive business management experience in software and microcomputer systems. Prior to his current position, Jim was a Director of Strategic Investments for Intel Capital. Jim led Intel investments in more than 15 companies, and led numerous Intel acquisitions. Jim and his investment team assembled a portfolio of more than 50 companies including Speechworks, Nuance, and Red Hat. Prior to joining Intel Capital in 1995, he held marketing and general management positions in Intel’s OEM PC Division, Network Products Division, and Development Systems Operation. Jim received an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School, and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Rose Hulman Institute of Technology. He is on the Board of Advisors for Rose Hulman, and was named "Outstanding Young Alumni" of Rose Hulman in 1999.

JED KLECKNER

Jed Kleckner is the Vice President of Field Marketing at Informative Inc. Previously, Mr. Kleckner was the founder and chief executive officer of CrowdBurst, a provider of web-based communication and collaboration solutions. CrowdBurst was acquired by the predecessor to Informative in 2000. His career began in finance at J.P. Morgan. He then was a founding member and business development manager of the European business operations unit at Netscape Communications. Returning to the U.S., he took on product management marketing roles at Netscape’s headquarters and subsequently AOL. He holds a B.A. in economics from Northwestern University and a M.I.M. from Ecole Superieur des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales in Paris.

ERIK J. KRIEGER

Erik Krieger, Chairman & Managing Director, has been with Pacific Crest Securities since 1990, when he was instrumental in founding and re-capitalizing the firm. Since his arrival, Mr. Krieger has been involved in almost every facet of investment banking, from starting Pacific Crest’s Institutional Equity Capital Markets Group to establishing its entry into money management business to actively conducting equity and debt financing activities for corporate clients. Mr. Krieger’s collective experiences provide current clients with a wealth of insight to how the investment banking process works. Currently, Mr. Krieger focuses the majority of his energy driving Pacific Crest’s Technology Banking Group, pursuing interests in communication technologies and leading the Firm’s commitment to the new “net-centric” world. While at Pacific Crest Mr. Krieger has held the positions of CEO and President as well as Managing Director and Head of Capital Markets. After graduating magna cum laude from the University of Oregon, Mr. Krieger entered the investment banking business in 1982 with Security Pacific Bank and later joined Continental Capital Markets Group in Chicago. In 1986, after receiving his M.B.A., with honors, from Northwestern University, he joined PaineWebber, Inc. in New York. While there, he was primarily involved in public company equity financing activities. In 1988, Mr. Krieger joined PaineWebber’s Merger & Acquisition Group working out of Chicago. Mr. Krieger has been actively involved in multiple transactions covering a full range of investment banking services including: domestic and cross boarder mergers & acquisitions (buy side and sell side mandates), divestitures, initial public offerings, follow-on offerings, private placements, joint ventures, management buyouts, leverage buyouts, technology transfers. Mr. Krieger has been an active investor since 1989 and since then has invested in over 25 local and national companies. Mr. Krieger sits on Pacific Crest’s Board of Directors and is a member of Pacific Crest’s Execution and Commitment Committees. Mr. Krieger is a Director of Pacific Portola Investment Management, a separate wholly owned money management firm. Mr. Krieger sits on the board of directors of several public and private companies and is Chairman of CleanPak International. Mr. Krieger also sits on the Executive Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

RON NIKEL

Ron Nikel is the Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder of TriCN. A 1992 graduate from Cornell University with a M. Eng. Electrical Engineering, Ron Nikel brings 14 years of experience in the Semiconductor industry to TriCN. Ron worked at Digital Equipment Corporation from 1987-1991, where he specialized in circuit design and signal integrity on the AX 10000 and DEC 7000 servers. In 1993, Ron joined Silicon Graphics as a Circuit Interconnect Technologist for the Origin 2000 program where he developed the Craylink technology as well as the copper 500Mb/s and the 1Gb/s optical interface for HIPPI-6400-PH standard. In 1997, he and SGI colleague Hansel Collins (along with John Ellis of FCI) recognized a need from semiconductor developers for reliable, application specific high-speed interface design coupled with signal integrity and timing analyses, and founded TriCN.

BILL RODONI

Bill Rodoni is a Vice President in the Investment Banking Division of the Credit Suisse First Boston Technology Group (CSFB) where he focuses on raising private capital for both privately-held and public technology companies. The CSFB Private Equity Group, of which Bill is a member, has completed 77 transactions in the past 5 years and has raised over $4.7 billion for its clients during this timeframe. While at CSFB, Bill has raised money for such notable clients as Plumtree Software, Packet Video and Storageway. Prior to joining CSFB, Bill was a senior attorney in the Corporate Securities Group at Gray, Cary, Ware & Freidenrich, one of the largest law firms in the country, where he represented both privately-held and public technology companies in a wide range of transactions including public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, private placements and technology licensing. While at Gray Cary, some of Bill's clients included Ascend Communications, The Vantive Corporation, Aspect Development and 3Com. Prior to joining Gary Cary, Bill was a financial/legal analyst at First Pacific Company in Hong Kong, a large, multinational Asia-based conglomerate. Bill has both a J.D. (summa cum laude) and a B.S. in Finance from Santa Clara University.

VAHE SARKISSIAN

Mr. Sarkissian joined FEI Company as President, Chief Executive Officer and director in May 1998. From 1994 to 1995, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Metrologix, Inc., an electron beam metrology company. Mr. Sarkissian was with Silicon Valley Group, Inc. (“SVG”), a supplier of advanced wafer processing equipment to the world-wide semiconductor industry from 1989 to 1993, as President and Chief Operating Officer, and before that as President and Chief Executive Officer of SVG Lithography Systems, a subsidiary of SVG. Before SVG he was a Vice President of Data General Corp. He has held several technical and management positions with semiconductor companies, including Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. He has served as a member of the board of directors for several technology companies. Mr. Sarkissian holds a B.S.E.E. from Northrop University and a M.S.E.E. from the University of Santa Clara.

CHARLES SCHOENHOEFT

Charles Schoenhoeft, CEO of UFO Communications, a company he founded in January 2000 to create an industry leading provider of next-generation, OC-192 Metro Optical Networks. Charles previously founded Transphere International in 1984 and grew the company to $25 million in sales providing product marketing, marketing communications and brand development services for fast growth, international high technology and consumer products companies. In 1994, he formed Transphere Interactive, providing strategic Web software development, web design, interactive software tools and consulting to international corporations including British Telecom, Nomura Securities, Cybercash and The Yankee Group. In 1996, the Transphere companies were sold to MTC Communications, forming a $100 million integrated communications company, providing telecommunications, Internet infrastructure and software services to medium to large-sized businesses.

BRIAN STERLING

Brian Sterling is Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of SafeHarbor Technology Corporation, a three year old technology startup venture located in Satsop, Washington. SafeHarbor is the market leader in providing Web based self service environments for large enterprises. Prior to starting SafeHarbor, Brian was General Manager of Amerada Hess' Virgin Island subsidiary where he had overall management responsibility for the world’s largest petroleum refinery, located on the island of St. Croix. As General Manager he oversaw an organization of 8,000 employees and $3B in annual revenues, as well as a $1.2B refinery expansion project. Before becoming General Manager, Brian held numerous management and engineering positions over a 15 year period at Hess' corporate headquarters in Woodbridge, NJ and other locations. Brian graduated from Washington State University in 1978 with a BS in Chemical Engineering. He is married with two children and lives in Hoquiam, Washington. Brian enjoys flying small airplanes and playing the guitar (not simultaneously) in his minimal spare time.

MARK C. WHITE

Mr. White represents emerging growth companies and investment funds on all matters relating to the formation, financing, growth and liquidity of technology based enterprises. He represents and advises companies on a wide variety of transactional matters, including business and legal issues as they pertain to complex strategic and venture financings, acquisitions, and licensing and distribution arrangements. Mr. White’s practice principally covers corporate, technology, financing and corporate partnering matters for a wide variety of private and public company clients in the ecommerce, internet infrastructure, internet services, enterprise networking, telecommunications, mobile computing, software and hardware peripherals industries. He regularly advises companies on strategic positioning, business model and revenue generation issues, the preparation of investment materials and presentations, and the structure of complex corporate reorganizations, consolidations and commercial partnerships. Mr. White also represents investment funds on formation issues, and regularly represents investors in making portfolio investments. Mr. White has represented recognized companies such as HotMail, Nuvomedia, Native Minds, 3ware, SurfMonkey.com, garageband.com, Betasphere, the EDA Consortium and AirFlash - and venture capital funds such as New Enterprise Associates, Nexit Ventures and Selby Ventures. Mr. White has written several papers on matters effecting emerging growth companies and has spoken on these topics in seminars organized by the Software Development Forum, the Northern California Association of Harvard Business School, the International Angels Institute, the Asian Business Association, the EDA Consortium and other groups. Mr. White has also spoken on these topics in Singapore, the Peoples Republic of China and Malaysia. He is the organizer of the "Soup to Nuts" seminar series – which in 2000 was sponsored by Silicon Valley Bank, New Enterprise Associates, NASDAQ, Microsoft and Oracle. Prior to co-founding White & Lee in 1996, Mr. White formed two other law firms: White & Altman, and the firm of Carr, DeFilippo, White & Ferrell. Mr. White started his legal career as an attorney in the Silicon Valley offices of Cooley Godward and also Fenwick & West. Prior to his legal career, Mr. White worked as the Managing Director of the International Trade division of the Harper Group, a Fortune 500 company – and was the founder of Campamericana–an international travel operator based in Brussels, Belgium. For fun, Mr. White is an avid golfer, runner and oarsmen. . Mr. White received his law degree at the University of California at Berkeley - Boalt Hall School of Law in 1987, his M.B.A. at Harvard University, Graduate School of Business in 1979 and his Bachelor of Arts at Rutgers College, Rutgers University, in 1977, Phi Beta Kappa.
